Sentico is a place to trade - like a stock or crypto exchange. The difference: it is built so you never have to hand your money to a company and hope they keep it safe. Your funds stay in a blockchain account that only you control, and anyone can check that the exchange is solvent at any moment.
Today you pick between two flawed options. Big exchanges like Binance are fast - but you trust the company with your money, and FTX showed how badly that can end. Blockchain ('DeFi') exchanges do not ask for that trust - but they get slow and expensive at scale. Sentico is built to be both: fast like the first, trustworthy like the second.
It means two halves working together. The fast half - matching your buy and sell orders - runs on Sentico's own high-speed engine, off the blockchain. The trustworthy half - holding the money and proving everything adds up - lives on the blockchain. You get the speed of one and the safety of the other.
No - and that is the whole point. Your funds sit in an on-chain vault tied to your own wallet, not on Sentico's balance sheet. Sentico runs the exchange, but it cannot quietly spend, lend out, or run off with your deposits the way a centralized company can.
Sentico regularly publishes a snapshot of all accounts and balances onto the public blockchain. Anyone - you, a journalist, a competitor - can check that the books add up and that the exchange holds every coin it owes. We cannot secretly invent balances or hide a shortfall. You do not trust us; you verify us.
Between snapshots the exchange runs on its own fast engine, and each new snapshot re-anchors everything back onto the blockchain. Snapshots are batched together to keep costs near zero, and the gap between them can be made shorter as the network grows. The blockchain is always the source of truth your balance settles back to.
Three kinds of market today, all from a single account:
- Spot - buy or sell an asset outright, like swapping euros for bitcoin.
- Binary options - a simple yes/no position on whether a price will be above or below a level by a deadline.
- Prediction markets - trade on the outcome of a real-world event.
More market types (such as futures and options) are on the roadmap.
Anyone who wants exchange-grade speed without exchange-grade counterparty risk - from everyday traders to professional market makers and developers building on top. You do not need to be a crypto expert to get the core idea: trade fast, keep control of your own money.
